Eeeeek! It's almost time for my daughter's 14th Birthday! Of course that means down -to-the-wire shopping for party decor, food, etc. Sadly, as she's gotten older, theme parties have become less common. One theme that hasn't gotten old though, is a night of pampering with her girlfriends. There's lots of cute themes you can add in with pampering from tea party, spa party, a French/Paris themed party,  a Runway/Hollywood theme, to Mermaids and Unicorns (which I'm getting to work on one with a good friend who wanted to incorporate Perfectly Posh products). This year my daughter has a thing for llamas, pineapples, and cacti/succulents (which may have rubbed off of me LOL). We usually do a sleepover, have a bar-b-que, or order up pizzas, but she mentioned she wanted a taco bar this time after attending a beautiful wedding last year that had one. Register now for the next  FREE Home Depot Kids Workshop .This workshop will be on Saturday, June 2nd, from 9am-12pm, where kids will have the opportunity to build a  FREE vintage General Motors-style wooden car ! (I've been taking my kids for years!  This is them enjoying the free workshop when they were smaller) Together you can build a vintage General Motors-style wooden car to put on display or take for a ride with no particular place to go. Once your vehicle is built, your child can customize it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. Recommended Ages: 5-12. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

 I love shopping at Target , Hobby Lobby and Pier1 for home goods, but sometimes I like to get crafty! So, I use those inspirations I found at the previous stores mentioned, and turn to my local Dollar Tree to help me out and keep to a budget...just in case my idea doesn't work out LOL. I have been working on updating my home business office space for longer than I care to admit, but I have slowly worked on items I want displayed. My inspiration is Kate Spade--chic and sophisticated, but I also want fun, and inspiring.  I found these tape dispensers there, and surprisingly they are heavy!! But who wants plain old black, when you can have a gorgeous gold?
