Ooops, sorry I haven't posted lately about a few of my regular runs. We had a loss in the family and schedules have been a little crazy. Anyways, I hope everyone is off to a great (official) First Day of Summer!  😘   Hopefully, we are back to our regular programming.....so I made my regular Thursday trip to the Nancy Miller Food Pantry at Operation Phantom Support.  You can always checkout their Facebook page to see what should be available (Do Note: Items may change based on availability).  If you haven't checked out my other post about this awesome organization in the Ft Hood Area, Operation Phantom Support is a military nonprofit that assists active duty & honorable veterans and their families. So my kids (and husband) LOVE checking out Bass Pro Shops. Our nearest location to the Killeen area is the Round Rock Shop. Our kiddos need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive-even when school is out. The Summer Food Service Program is available throughout Texas and allows children and teens, under the age of 18, to continue throughout the summer at no cost . You simply show up to a participating location as early as Thursday, May 28th, 2018 depending on the location. So, I have to tell you about this amazing place that I have been a donor/member of for the past 3 years. Operations Phantom Support is not only making a HUGE impact on the Fort Hood Army Community, but also helping us to supplement big time on our family grocery budget! My kids love going because they usually receive a treat (always varies, but have received pencils, snack cakes, candy, stickers, juice boxes, etc), and I love it because they get to help me out too.  They are a military nonprofit that assists active duty & honorable veterans and their families. (My husband is a Veteran). They ask for a $20 once a month donation to use their services. You can then use all of the programs/services based on funding available. The Nancy Miller Food Pantry is a branch of Operation Phantom Support, and open to donors 8 times a month (every Thursday and Saturday) and spouses can also sign up.
