Operation Phantom Support: Pantry Day

Ooops, sorry I haven't posted lately about a few of my regular runs. We had a loss in the family and schedules have been a little crazy. Anyways, I hope everyone is off to a great (official) First Day of Summer!  😘   Hopefully, we are back to our regular programming.....so I made my regular Thursday trip to the Nancy Miller Food Pantry at Operation Phantom Support.  You can always checkout their Facebook page to see what should be available (Do Note: Items may change based on availability).  If you haven't checked out my other post about this awesome organization in the Ft Hood Area, Operation Phantom Support is a military nonprofit that assists active duty & honorable veterans and their families. I love them because we are able to save so much money on our grocery bill every month, and the kids love it because sometimes they have something I wouldn't usually buy (like desserts and treats). Operation Phantom Support: 5/17

I apologize ahead of time for the crappy picture LOL. I am going on week 2 of no phone! 😳 And I didn't have a chance to grab the camera before I had to put everything away and go pickup the kids and head to work. Anyways, the Food Pantry at Operaton Phantom Support is currently open every Thursday and Saturday from 10am-2pm, serving active duty, veterans, and their families.  As of May 9th, 2018  617,787 lbs of food have been distributed. And in April, they served 3,628 soldiers and veterans, helping out 13,948 family members!    Here was Thursday's Pantry List, which as mentioned before, does change depending on availability.  Do note that it is a pantry, so many of the frozen items, meats, and breads/pastries that are received and given out, are past their expiration which does not mean that they are not good and are saving tons of food from going in the dump each year.
