Ooops, sorry I haven't posted lately about a few of my regular runs. We had a loss in the family and schedules have been a little crazy. Anyways, I hope everyone is off to a great (official) First Day of Summer! 😘
Hopefully, we are back to our regular programming.....so I made my regular Thursday trip to the Nancy Miller Food Pantry at Operation Phantom Support.
You can always checkout their Facebook page to see what should be available (Do Note: Items may change based on availability).
This post is in no way affiliated with Operation Phantom Support and this is of my own opinion.

If you haven't checked out my other post about this awesome organization in the Ft Hood Area, Operation Phantom Support is a military nonprofit that assists active duty & honorable veterans and their families. I love them because we are able to save so much money on our grocery bill every month, and the kids love it because sometimes they have something I wouldn't usually buy (like desserts and treats). You can visit the pantry 8 times month (every Thursday and Saturday), and they only ask for a $20 once a month donation to use their services. This donation also helps every other soldier or veterans that come in too. You can then use all our programs/services based on funding available (more can be found out here about their other programs).
Here's what I came home with. There is usually a vast assortment of "Meat" as well as for other items. The volunteers will ask if you would like item available and you just let them know yes or no, and they will pick up items to give to you. Today there were also crawfish broil potatoes, and purple onions, but I opted not to take. There were also brussel sprouts (I already peeled off the bad pieces, rinsed, and put in ziploc baggies to put in freezer) that you were allowed an unlimited amount and no watermelons available when I stopped by. So as mentioned before, quantity and availability of items can vary.
The Nancy Miller Food Pantry located at 401 N 8th St, Killeen is open from 10am-2pm today. Be sure to bring your own bags, or they have some plastic bags available a $0.25 donation at check-in.
