So I know anytime someone mentions EBT, some folks can get their panties in a bunch. But let's be real. People work, people have families, and sometimes that job doesn't cover all the bills and it often comes to a point where you have to choose to pay Bills or Food. And if you're having to choose between those 2 big questions, there's no doubt that a fun, educational family trip to the museum is freely scheduled on your agenda. (Insert sarcasm) :p

Did you know that there are several places that actually allow you free, or reduced, admission when you show your card and/or proof of eligibility throughout the U.S.A. through Museums for All, a national initiative that encourages families to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. When going, I would recommend not only bringing your ID and benefits card, but your statement/proof of benefits as well as some places, like the Houston Zoo and Children's Museum of Houston, require it). I'll be honest, it's kind of intimidating to have to whip out your benefits statement in front of a long line full of people, but they don't know you or your situation. You're there to give your kids/family a fun learning experience, you might not otherwise be able to offer. <3
