I love shopping at Target, Hobby Lobby and Pier1 for home goods, but sometimes I like to get crafty! So, I use those inspirations I found at the previous stores mentioned, and turn to my local Dollar Tree to help me out and keep to a budget...just in case my idea doesn't work out LOL.
I have been working on updating my home business office space for longer than I care to admit, but I have slowly worked on items I want displayed. My inspiration is Kate Spade--chic and sophisticated, but I also want fun, and inspiring.
I found these tape dispensers there, and surprisingly they are heavy!! But who wants plain old black, when you can have a gorgeous gold? So, I taped the silver edge (that cuts the tape) and spray painted it gold! I will say, I was using up what little bit of gold spraypaint I had left, so it didn't come out as smooth as I would have liked but it works. :)
Total cost: $2.00 for tape dispenser and a pack of tape refills
(+$3.86 on the Rustoleum Spray Paint that I should've repurchased before I started LOL)
You know how succulents were in stock not too long ago? Well, I bought several, one of these green forms, and a package of Jute (that I can use to package up pampering gifts for my business, and in the garden when done).
and here's what I came up with:
For a total cost of: $9
