Drag Racing fun at the San Antonio Raceway

So at least once a month we've been heading out to the track. Last month we headed out to Louisiana. This time out to San Antonio Raceway for their Tailgater Trucks Series. Unfortunately, my husband Donnie's fox body isn't quite ready to race, but we go out to support his buddies, The Buffalo Soldiers Racing Team.

Well, his friend Drew has been having some knee issues so this week Donnie got to drive his friends truck.

Throughout the track you'll find these awesome quotes displayed, concessions stands with some yummy eats and often times a special or two going on in between cleanups on the track.

I didn't catch a picture of the kids and I, but we had fun watching the races, playing on a metal spinner that was there, and running up and down the bleachers. LOL.

I'll definitely be making and posting a list of Race Track necessities for spectators! But here's some of the action:

The Killer Bee ended up qualifying for the finals, but the hood flew off during the last run and cracked the window shield, so it was decided to sit it out. Instead, Keith took his place and ended up winning! So either way, it was a good night. Here's some of the action:
