Whew, it's 11:55 pm and I'm finishing up my nightly routine (shower, apply the new pro-aging DEFIANT skincare line, put a load of laundry in the wash, sweep the floors, and let the dogs out to pee one last time), and then about to head to bed.
Fortunately, the day wasn't too hectic.
Dropped the kids off at school. Did some grocery shopping for the house, and happily saved $46 at H-E-B between coupons and markdowns (not shown)!
Played and worked on shapes with the little guy I watch...we'll call him "Hunter." Took a much needed nap for approximately 45 minutes once Hunter fell alseep. Woke up, picked Isaac up from my Moms, Isabel up from her school, Austin up from Running Club at the elementary school, then to meet Hunter's Dad for pickup since we're out and about and not at our usual spots, THEN to the High School that Isabel will be attending next year (which also happens to be where I attended and graduated from) to drop off forms for Cheer Try-outs next week.....THEN I realize it's 4:30 and I have to be at work in 45 minutes. Where did time go??
Sidenote: Did I mention I drive the kids to and from school everyday? Okay, I probably did, but did I mention that we also live about 8 miles from said schools when the school our home is zoned for is less than 1 mile away? Why you ask? Because I want them to attend the schools I attended, my Mom is officially their "after-school provider," which works out well because they can ride the bus to her house when they don't have activities going on, and she gets to see them. And to be honest, sometimes it's better to say "my kids go to so and so," instead of admitting we live on the not so newer and nicer side of the area. I know. maybe I'm a little crazy and bougie for it, but it's my gas and my time I put into getting my kids to school every day for the past several years, and I'm okay with that.
Anyways, we do the above and then I end up swinging by Little Caesars to pick up a couple of those 'ExtraMostBestest' Pizzas and drive home to get ready. I decide we don't have a lot of time, and let them get started eating dinner in the car. We get home, and as soon as we do, it's time to head out the door. I've been lucky enough that at most of the jobs I have had, I've been able to bring my munchkins, so they get to come along too for the 3 hours I cover at our home church. Work was great. We're having beautiful weather in Texas so we spent a couple of hours outside thanks to Day Light Savings giving us our evening sunlight back. LOL.
After, we get home to my husband who is now home from work, they take baths, talk to Daddy a bit, and head off to bed because there's school tomorrow. I talk to my honey a little, and then decide I'm going to make my late night trip to see "Gym," as we joke. I had missed "him" for the past week and a half since it was Spring Break and well I wanted a break too, but now feel as if my butt is telling me I better go...or maybe it was that extra cheezy pizza?
Well, the laundry finally finished washing so that's my cue to put it in the dryer and head to bed. A whole load of laundry washed and dried? I know what you're thinking! I'm such an overachiever!
Nope, not really. I'm just trying to keep this family of five's laundry under control the best way I know how. Night y'all, back at it tomorrow!
