Hahaha. Sorry to go quiet on y'all the past few days! The tooth pain I incurred last week was the last straw, I finally had to schedule an appointment and get that sucker pulled!
Have you ever try to schedule a dentist appointment the day before Good Friday and Easter Holiday?
The dentist are slim pickins I tell ya! LOL. After some Googling, I came across Dental. They had great reveiews and many stating they were able to get in right away and get taken care of. After calling my local office in Killeen, they were either booked or closed, but were able to schedule me with an affiliate office in Waco, TX. So the next day, I took the hour-drive to their Waco office with my kids in tow since it happened to be Good Friday and no school.
The staff there was so friendly and helpful and didn't mind my little pains (talking about the kiddos) lol. They sat with me to talk about my options, cost, budget plans, and referrals. One option was to keep the half broken tooth, and to dull the pain with meds until seen by another dentist who could do a build up and crown over the next few visits, but honestly, $800+ (even with using dental insurance!) wasn't in my budget at this time and I wanted the pain gone ASAP. So, I opted to have it pulled (and paid only $25 with insurance). Best of all, they were able to get me in within a couple hours! That being said, we stopped for a quick eat and then headed back. I seriously think it took all but 30 minutes from start to finish to get that tooth out.
After, I had told the kids as a reward for being behaved and waiting, we would go find something to fun do. I wanted to take them to the Baylor Mayborn Museum to checkout the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Secrets of the Sewer Exhibit, but like most places, they were closed for the Holiday.
Instead, we went to one of our favorite places that happened to be open, Magnolia Market. As you may or may not, know, Magnolia Market is where you can shop Joanna Gaines' handpicked farmhouse chic home decor and lifestyle goods featured on her (and her husband, Chip's) renown HGTV show, "Fixer Upper".
There's something for everyone from shopping, to relaxing on the lawn and playing games with newly made friends, hanging out in the beautiful gardens, or enjoying a bite from local food truck vendors. From the smell of kettle corn popcorn waffing in the air, to the cute ice-cold teas in mason jars, you'll love the homey, and family-friendly atmosphere.
We love watermelon so when we saw others walking around enjoying individual sized ones with straws and spoons, we had to find out what it was, and get one! We found Luna Juice Bar sold them as well as other 'whole fruit' juices! Many of the lines for the vendors were long, but it was well worth the wait. Checkout some of our adventures there!
Comment below and let me know if you've visited The Silos at Magnolia Market and what your favorite thing about it is!

This was from our first trip to Magnolia Farms in 2017.
The vines were still coming up for the season on our most recent visit.
